Donna Freedman, a staff writer with the Anchorage Daily News, has lived in Alaska since 1984. Her work has appeared in Country Living, McCalls, the New York Times Review of Books, Parade, Premier, The Writer, and a number of children's publications, including American Girl and Time Magazine For Kids. Freedman also reviews books for Alaska magazine. She is a member of American Mensa and has received a number of awards from the Alaska Press Club and the Society of Professional Journalists. She is also a member of Alaska Sisters in Crime.
